Today’s glove knowledge, Do you know these materials of gloves?
What is PVC?
PVC is a polymer material of vinyl. PVC material is polyvinyl chloride, which is one of the largest plastic products in the world. It is cheap and widely used. In life, the uses of PVC are mainly divided into these types:
1. PVC profiles, such as doors and windows and energy-saving materials;
2. PVC pipes and fittings, such as water pipes, drainage pipes and threading pipes;
3. Polyvinyl chloride film, mixed with PVC and additives, can be made into transparent or colored film of specified thickness after plasticization;
4. PVC general soft products, such as hoses, cables and wires.
What is Nylon?
Nylon is a kind of synthetic fiber and also a kind of plastic, its name is polyamide, nylon is its common name, and the English abbreviation is PA. It was developed by American scientist Carothers in the 1930s, and it is also the world’s first synthetic fiber. Since nylon was developed, it has quickly become the preferred material in the textile industry because its properties are very close to natural silk, such as abrasion resistance even surpassing that of natural silk and other fibers.
What is polyester?
Polyester fiber, commonly known as “polyester”. Polyester fiber is a synthetic fiber obtained by spinning polyester obtained by polycondensation of organic dibasic acid and dihydric alcohol, and is widely used in clothing fabrics. In 1941, Winfield and Dixon in the United Kingdom synthesized polyethylene terephthalate with dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol. This polymer can be melt-spun into fibers with excellent properties.
What is 3M thinsulate insulation cotton?
3M cotton, also known as 3M Thinsulate high-efficiency warm fleece, is a product of 3M company in the United States. It is a light, thin and thermal insulation material. 3M cotton has strong thermal properties, 1.5 times that of down and 2 times that of other thermal insulation materials, and 3M cotton will increase the air stored in the fibers, thereby retaining more heat for warmth, even in humid conditions. It can also keep warm in the environment. 3M cotton has the characteristics of good resilience. 3M cotton is widely used, mainly used in clothing, gloves, sleeping bags and outdoor sports products, and has a high reputation.
The Difference Between Grain Cowhide and Cow Split Leather
In daily life, when people buy cowhide products, they sometimes see the first layer cowhide and the second layer cowhide marked on the cowhide products, so what is the difference between the two? First of all, in terms of price, the cowhide products made of the first layer of cowhide are relatively expensive, and are not prone to peeling and peeling, while the second layer of cowhide has a lower cortical content, so the price is cheaper than the first layer. Secondly, the thickness of the two is different. The thickness of the first layer of cowhide is about 1.3 mm, while the thickness of the second layer of cowhide is about 1.68 mm. Finally, the production process is different, the production process of the first layer of cowhide is exquisite and the surface is smooth.
The above is a description of some of the materials used in making gloves, see you in the next issue.
